Peter& Lisa were fortunate enough to be invited to the social event of thecalendar year, the St Wilfred Annual Lunch hosted at theSaffrons. This event helps raise vital funds for this local charity and 2026was no exception with a staggering total of £237,000. This event was in itsfourteenth year and gets stronger every year. Attendees were treated to asumptuous three course meal washed down with the odd glass of wine 😊. Funds were raised througha raffle including the main prize being a Harley Davidson motorcycle and anauction which is always a massive success in raising monies. Guests were alsotreated to a sunny summer’s day, so the party continued at the taproom afterthe main event.
